      Sending email notifications to a different target

      Your target audience changed and you want to send notifications about a posted message

      Note: Sending reminders is an effective tool to ensure important messages are noticed and acted upon, especially in a busy community environment.

      Tip: You can temporarily change the target to a subset of users and trigger an email notification in case you targeted all the users when the message was posted.

      Platform: Desktop

      1. Click on Messages in the sidebar on the left.
      2. Select the message for which you want to send a reminder.
      3. Click on the actions button (💬) in the top-right of the pop-up and choose Edit.
      4. Choose the new set of recipients that you want to send an email notification. 
      5. Decide who to send the reminder to: either all recipients of the message or only those who have not read the message yet.
      6. Click on Send to issue the reminder​​.

      If you temporarily changed the target for a subset of users to send them notifications because the message was set to not send notifications, don't forget to configure the complete target audience again to ensure everyone in your target has visibility to the message in the platform.
